Conflict of Interest Policy

Future Visions Journal adopts impartiality, transparency, and academic ethics as fundamental principles in the scientific publication process. Accordingly, the journal requires that any conflicts of interest that may arise during the manuscript evaluation and publication processes be clearly declared and, where necessary, that preventive measures be taken.

A conflict of interest refers to situations arising from financial, institutional, academic, or personal relationships that may influence the scientific judgments of individuals involved in the preparation, evaluation, or publication of a research study. Such situations may compromise the objectivity of the research and may also raise concerns regarding the impartiality of the evaluation process. Therefore, the journal adopts a clear conflict of interest disclosure policy for authors, reviewers, and editors.

Responsibilities of Authors:
All authors submitting manuscripts to Future Visions Journal are responsible for clearly declaring any potential conflicts of interest related to their work. Conflicts of interest may include research funding, supporting institutions or organizations, consultancy relationships, financial support, project partnerships, patent applications, or similar academic and economic relationships. If authors have any financial or academic interests that may influence their decisions during the preparation or publication of the study, they must inform the editorial office at the time of manuscript submission. If there is no conflict of interest, authors must explicitly declare this. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the declarations they provide.

Responsibilities of Reviewers:
Reviewers are responsible for conducting their evaluations in accordance with objective and scientific criteria. Reviewers invited to evaluate a manuscript are expected to decline the assignment if there is any conflict of interest that may affect their assessment. Academic collaboration, institutional affiliation, consultancy relationships, personal relationships, or competition between the reviewer and the author may constitute a conflict of interest in the peer-review process. In such cases, reviewers should not participate in the evaluation process and must inform the editorial office.

Responsibilities of Editors:
Editors and editorial board members are responsible for acting with complete impartiality and independence throughout the evaluation process. If editors have any conflict of interest regarding a manuscript under evaluation, they must withdraw from their editorial duties related to that manuscript. In such cases, the evaluation process is conducted by another editor or an independent editorial officer. In reviewer selection and final decision-making, editors consider only scientific quality, originality, and academic contribution.

Future Visions Journal requires conflicts of interest to be declared transparently and evaluation processes to be conducted in line with this principle in order to safeguard reliability and academic integrity in scholarly publishing. Proper disclosure of potential conflicts of interest is of great importance for preserving the reliability of scientific research and the academic value of published works. The journal expects all parties to act in accordance with these principles and, where necessary, takes appropriate editorial measures within the framework of ethical rules.
