Despite the high tourism potential in the country due to the war situation in Azerbaijan, it has been difficult to experience progress in tourism. Namely, the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan has been occupied by Armenia since the early 1990s. Despite this, there have been many international organizations and events for the development of the tourism sector in Azerbaijan in recent years.
