Forformulaicwords, languageelements, many of whichhavegainedmeaningwiththeculture of thesocietytowhichtheybelong, but some of themare of universalnature, usedforcertainsituations, can be formed in a sentence as well as a word, andfacilitatecommunication. When it wasanalyzed in terms of languageteaching, it wasseenthattherewasnoacquisitionitem in the MEB Turkish curriculumregardingtheacquisition of formulaicwords, while it wasincluded in differenteducationlevels in thecurriculum of Teaching Turkish toForeigners. Despitethefactthattheacquisitionitem is not included in the Turkish curriculum of the MEB in terms of formulaicwords, theaim of thestudywastodeterminethelevel of recognition of thestudents in Turkish language. Theresearchgroupconsists of a total of onehundredstudents, fifty-threeboysandforty-seven girlsstudying in theprovince of Manisa. Thestudentsweredeterminedto be twenty-fivestudents at eachgradelevel (5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grades) bysimplerandommethodvia e-schoolregistrations. Inourstudy, descriptivemethodwasbased on, andscanning model wasused. Theopinions of threeexpertsaboutthequestionnairedevelopedtocollect data wereapplied, thequestionnairewasapplied, andaccordingtotheresults, thelevel of usagewastriedto be determinedalongwithwhetherthecommonwordsencountered in Turkish spokenandwrittenlanguagewererecognizedbythestudents. As a result of theassessment, it wasdeterminedthat as thegradelevelincreased, thelevel of recognition of theformulaicwords of individualsincreased, and 8th gradestudentsknewtheformulaicwordsbetterthanthestudents at othergradelevels. Itwasobservedthattherewasnosignificantdifference in terms of genderfactorrecognition in terms of patterns.Consideringthatthere is noacquisitionrelatedtostereotypes in the MEB Turkish curriculum, accordingtothisresult, individualsacquirestereotypes in informalwaysotherthan Turkish lesson, sothatstereotypes can be supported in the Turkish curriculumandsupportedbydifferentteachingtechniques (drama, scriptwriting, etc.); Inaddition, thedifferentanswersgivenbytheindividuals in a waythatwould be appropriatetothecontextinstead of thestereotypesthatshould be used in certainsituationsweredetermined.
