This study aimed to draw a biographical portrait of Emel Esin, who created original works on Turkish culture and art history in Central Asia. It aimed to present the environment in which Mrs. Esin grew up and the basis of her relation with the scientific world. Mrs. Esin is a researcher with an enthusiasm in Turkism and Islam. This enthusiasm stands out in her works. However, she had scientific hypotheses rather than an emotional result. Having been able to work in the field and examine the original copies of many sources, Esin became the luckiest follower of Central Asian Turkish culture and art and left thousands of important documents behind.
